- The chip is malfunction, e.g. chip’s quality is not good, use a wrong chip
- Estimation:
Printer still cannot recognize the chip after several installations, but it can be solved by changing another new cartridge/OEM cartridge
- Solution:
Replace a new cartridge or a new chip

- The chip is damaged by the environment or transportation
- Estimation:
Chip's damage can be obviously diagnosed from its appearance; otherwise it needs to diagnosed by factory

Even try many other cartridges, the cartridge still cannot be recognized, but it can recognize the OEM cartridge

Customer's printer is not in the compatible model list
- Solution:
We recommend the customers only use the cartridge which is listed in the compatible list on the package. Otherwise it should be tested by the factory or customers before using

- Some Epson new printers which are using 6th generation nine points chip will show "compatible inkjet cartridge cannot be recognized" when ink is used up. This is a normal message from the chip when ink is used up
- Estimation:
Generally it can be judged by the chip message after connected to the computer. When ink is used up, the chip will show normal message (e.g. NONEP, T0711) or will show "UNKNOWN". All the Epson compatible inkjet cartridges in the market have this problem
- Solution:

- The floater which is used to identify the ink volume is jammed (mainly jammed by air bubble). This causes the printer showing a wrong message
- Estimation:
Shake the cartridge or knock it at the desk slightly before reinstall
- Solution:
This is an occasional case. It can be solved by shaking the cartridge or knocking it at the desk slightly

Reinstall the cartridge after removed the yellow sealing film. If this problem happens, recommend clean the print head 1-2 times. If the result is not good, it is better to turn off the printer for 20-30 minutes

- The operation is not following the correct instructions: Especially Canon PGI-520/CLI-521. Before using, remove the yellow sealing film, and then take off the clip. Since there is pressure inside the cartridge, if the clip is taken off firstly, the ink will reflow and causes white line

Replace a new cartridge/Follow the instructions
